These terms govern your use of this website and your engagement with Samantha Covey LLC for custom bridal and eveningwear services. By using the site, beginning a project, or purchasing a Swatch Box, you agree to these terms.

Services

Samantha Covey is a custom bridal and eveningwear atelier based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All garments are made to order. At-home fabric and lace kits are available for purchase through this website; a Swatch Box purchase is separate from any later agreement to design and produce a custom garment.

Project requests

Submitting a project request or purchasing a Swatch Box does not guarantee that we will accept a custom garment commission. We review each inquiry based on event date, project scope, current availability, and fit with the atelier's focus. We reserve the right to decline a custom garment request without obligation.

If we move forward together, the terms of your specific engagement, including timeline, scope, and payment schedule, will be confirmed in writing before work begins.

Deposits and payment

Swatch Box pricing is shown before payment in secure checkout. Purchasing a box authorizes us to curate and ship the selected Swatch Box to the address you provide.

A deposit is required before we reserve atelier time or source materials for your project. The deposit amount and payment schedule are confirmed in your written agreement.

Once work or noncancelable commitments begin, the deposit is nonrefundable to the extent applied to design work, materials, manufacturing commitments, and other losses permitted by law. If Samantha Covey cancels and does not deliver, we will refund amounts you paid. Your signed sales agreement contains the terms for your specific order.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel after a project has started, please notify us as soon as possible. Depending on how far the work has progressed, we may retain some or all of payments made to cover atelier time, materials, and other costs incurred on your behalf. The specific cancellation terms for your project will be included in your written agreement.

Swatch Box returns and refunds

You may return your Swatch Box within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. You are responsible for return shipping. Email xoxo@samanthacovey.com with your order number to request return instructions before sending your box back. We will confirm the return address and coordinate your refund to the original payment method after receiving the return.

Order questions, refunds, and disputes

For a cancellation, return, refund request, or a concern about your dress, email xoxo@samanthacovey.com with your order or project details. Custom garment cancellation and correction requests are handled under your signed sales agreement. Please contact us promptly so we can work with you to resolve the issue. This process does not limit your rights under applicable law or your card issuer’s dispute process.

Shipping and delivery

Website shipping is available to U.S. addresses only. Swatch Box delivery estimates and any shipping charges are shown before payment. Custom dress production and delivery are coordinated individually under your sales agreement; a specific ready or delivery date is not guaranteed. The remaining balance must be paid before shipment or pickup. Dress shipments require a signature at delivery.

Promotions

Any eligibility conditions, expiration dates, and product exclusions for a promotion are provided with that offer. The applicable discount and final price are shown before you pay.

Custom order expectations

Custom garments are built around your measurements and design preferences as they exist at the time of your fittings. Fit is developed collaboratively across one or more fittings included in your project scope. We are not responsible for changes in measurements or circumstances that occur after final fittings are complete.

We do not alter garments we did not make as a standard service. If you have an inquiry about modification work on an existing piece, please email us or write to us so we can assess whether it falls within our scope.

Design and intellectual property

All original designs created by Samantha Covey remain the intellectual property of Samantha Covey LLC. You are welcome to share reference images for inspiration, and we will use those to inform the direction of your garment. We do not reproduce another designer's work exactly and will not accept commissions that require us to do so.

Photography, video, and written content on this website are the property of Samantha Covey LLC or used under license. They may not be reproduced without written permission.

Website use

You agree to use this website for its intended purpose of learning about our services and submitting inquiries. Automated scraping, spam submissions, or any use that interferes with site operation is prohibited.

SMS messaging

Appointment requests include phone verification and appointment-related text messages under the disclosure shown on the request form. After you verify your phone number and create an account, text messages may also include offers and other promotional updates. All text messages are also governed by our SMS Terms and Conditions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Samantha Covey LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total liability in connection with any claim is limited to the amount you have paid to us in connection with that specific project.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services or circumstances change. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Portfolio photography

Samantha Covey reserves the right to photograph finished garments for portfolio, promotional, and editorial use. If you would prefer that your garment not be photographed or featured in any capacity, please submit that request in writing before your final fitting and we will honor it.
