The White Project

A SCAD junior-year conceptual garment built under a white-fabric-only assignment.

Samantha created The White Project in Spring 2025 while she was a junior at SCAD.

The assignment was to make a conceptual garment using only white fabric, pushing silhouette, texture, and construction to carry the whole idea without the help of color.

The finished look pairs a narrow column shape with translucent sleeve volume, sculpted bodice seams, and a hand-piped front panel. More than 11 hours of piping work went into the front of the dress alone.
