Redesigning My Mom's Dress

For her parents' 40 year vow renewal, Samantha redesigned her mother's original wedding dress from 1985, preserving the memory of the garment while reshaping it for a new chapter.

The redesign kept the romance of the original lace, polka dot tulle, pearls, and bridal softness, then refined the silhouette into something lighter, more wearable, and more personal for the celebration.

The finished dress carried both weddings at once: the first promise made in 1985, and the renewed promise honored forty years later by the lake.
